Privacy Policy

1. Controller and contact

RTI is currently operated by Jean-Michel Raffle, trading as RTI. RTI is the controller of personal data processed for RTI accounts and services. Email privacy and data-rights requests to support@rtiapp.co.uk.

2. Information RTI processes

RTI may process your email address; account, device and subscription identifiers; profile and training preferences; workouts, history, scores, progression and readiness information; equipment and exercise choices; information you deliberately submit to community features; support messages; and security or diagnostic records. RTI online backup includes only the categories shown in the app. Photos are stored on the device and are excluded from RTI online backup. Connected health information is not displayed to other users unless you deliberately choose to share it through a feature that clearly identifies what will be shared.

3. Health and training information

If you choose to connect Apple Health, Samsung Health or Android Health Connect, RTI asks separately for the relevant device permission and uses only the permissions and workout information needed for the feature you select. Where this information constitutes health data or other special category data, RTI relies on your explicit consent under Article 9(2)(a) of the UK GDPR. You may withdraw consent by disconnecting the health service or removing its permission in device settings. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before it was withdrawn. RTI does not sell health or training information or use it for advertising.

4. Sources, purposes and lawful bases

Information comes from you, your use of RTI, Google Play and RevenueCat subscription confirmations, optional connected health services, and service security records. RTI uses it to create and adapt plans, deliver workouts, calculate and verify scores, provide recovery and progress features, maintain accounts and backups, confirm access, provide support, prevent fraud and protect the service. The lawful bases are performance of the service contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing RTI, consent where required, and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Automated personalisation

RTI uses profile and training information to recommend programmes, sessions, exercises, recovery, progression and scores. These automated features support fitness decisions. They do not make legal or similarly significant decisions about you.

6. Recipients and international processing

RTI uses service providers needed to operate the app, including hosting, email delivery, Google Play, RevenueCat and optional device health services. Providers process information under their own terms or on RTI's instructions. Where RTI initiates a restricted transfer outside the UK, it relies on UK adequacy regulations, appropriate contractual safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum, or another lawful mechanism. Contact RTI for information about the safeguard relevant to your data.

7. Retention

Account and online training data are kept while the account is active. When an authenticated account-deletion request succeeds, RTI promptly removes the account and mapped account data from its active database, including sessions, registered devices, online backups, subscription linkage and account-linked score records. RTI retains a minimal anonymous record that the deletion occurred and may retain de-linked operational records only where needed for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations or service integrity. Sign-in codes expire after their stated period. Specific backup and operational-log periods depend on production provider schedules and security requirements; RTI reviews those periods and does not keep identifiable data longer than necessary. Google and other independent providers retain their records under their own policies.

8. Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, and may withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You can export or erase local app data, delete online backups, and delete your RTI account in App Settings. Email RTI to exercise a right. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

Right to object. You may object to processing based on RTI's legitimate interests. RTI will stop that processing unless there are compelling legitimate grounds to continue or it is needed for legal claims.

9. Age and security

RTI is intended only for people aged 18 or older. RTI does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If RTI learns that an under-18 account has been created, it may suspend the account and delete the associated information. RTI protects information in transit using encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections and uses account-scoped access controls, hashed sign-in and session credentials, restricted administrative access, and secure development and deployment practices. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Terms of Use

1. Eligibility and account responsibility

You must be 18 or older and legally able to agree to these terms. RTI uses email sign-in codes rather than passwords. Keep access to your email and device secure, provide accurate information, and report suspected unauthorised use.

2. Fitness service, not medical advice

RTI provides general fitness planning, logging and coaching guidance, not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Stop if you feel pain, dizziness or unusual symptoms and seek qualified advice when needed. You are responsible for safe exercise selection, technique, equipment and surroundings.

3. Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are purchased, renewed, cancelled and refunded through Google Play or the applicable Apple App Store under that store's terms. Features depend on the subscription confirmed for your account. Deleting an RTI account does not cancel an app-store subscription.

4. Recommendations and scores

Plans, scores, progression, readiness and recommendations are estimates based on available information. They may be limited, unavailable or change as data and the service change. Community and verified-score eligibility may require integrity checks.

5. Acceptable use

Do not misuse RTI, interfere with the service, upload unlawful content, impersonate another person, falsify activity, evade access controls, or attempt to extract, copy or reverse-engineer protected scoring and coaching systems except where law expressly permits.

6. Content and intellectual property

You retain rights in information you provide and give RTI the limited permission needed to process it and provide the service. RTI software, branding, training catalogue, protected methods and content remain owned by or licensed to RTI.

7. Availability, changes and termination

RTI may maintain, update or change the service and cannot promise uninterrupted availability. RTI may restrict or terminate access for serious misuse, legal requirements or security risks. Material changes to these terms will be communicated reasonably. You may stop using RTI and delete your account at any time.

8. Responsibility and governing law

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights, including the right to receive digital services with reasonable care and skill. You remain responsible for safe exercise technique, suitable equipment and a safe training environment. Subject to the protections above, RTI is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate information you provide, third-party services, or events outside RTI's reasonable control. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales without removing mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.
